Trash Talk

While the Casella trash and recycling truck was here at my apartment building this afternoon, having emptied all the trash bins and all but one of the recycling bins, the last one fell into the dumping portion of the truck and then took a ride when the truck pulled away.

Must have been slippery when wet.

Whoops!


Update 1: Believe it or not, because I had also sent a link to it out via email earlier today, mention about the subject of this blog post of mine even made it into the Times Argus Talk of the Town column (first item on page; in tomorrow's, March 7th, print edition), here.

Update 2: Although I hadn't mentioned it within this blog post of mine earlier, apparently the driver was aware of the mishap because the recycling bin never came back down after being dumped. The driver must have been attempting to resolve it because the trash and recycling truck had been there for a while and kept being turned off and on several times, which finally got my attention, so I looked out my window to investigate. Finally, after I happened to take photos, the driver must have given up and drove off, probably back to the shop.

With apologies for not being able to post for a while, however, among other things that had been going on these last few months, I had been unable to gain access to my laptop computer for about two months or so for some reason, until now. For those not already in the know and without going into all of the specific details within this particular blog post of mine, in late November of last year I had gone to the emergency room at the Central Vermont Medical Center (CVMC), was admitted and stayed in one of the units there for two full weeks.   According to a recent Seven Days article, here , the City of Montpelier is currently seeking to have the lot, which formerly hosted the Guertin Parklet structure (before the city had it removed in early May of 2022), developed; ironically, potentially, for housing: The Montpelier City Council is seeking developers’ proposals for a half-acre downtown lot that drew locals' complaints and repeated visits from police in recent years after its gazebo became a gathering place for people experiencing homelessness. Medical Update 2

Photo: Stained glass windo w within the second floor chapel of the Central Vermont Medical Center  (CVMC): Late last year, as I had previously blogged about earlier this year, I had been hospitalized for a full two weeks at the CVMC, here More recently, due to the overly intense and quite severe acute as well as oftentimes chronic pain being experienced, I went to the emergency room and had been admitted. It appears that this could possibly be another prolonged hospitalization;  including due to needing to assess and putting in place a different pain management plan, run tests as well as undergo an upcoming aggressive palliative radiation five day treatment course -- which is taking place at the UVM Medical Center Cancer Treatment Center located in Burlington, where I am currently located and likely will remain for nearly a week or so before returning to CVMC.
